The course is generally closed to green fee players when competition golf is on:
Saturday – Closed until 4.30pm year-round. (Twilight summer golf available.)
Thursday – Closed from 11.30am until 4.30pm year-round
On other competition days, green fee players must give way to competitors.
Occasionally, the club holds special competitions and closes the course to green fee players. These will be listed on this website and a ‘Course Closed’ sign will be displayed at the clubhouse.

Axedale Golf Club no longer runs a set regular competition on Sundays however the club does run some special events on some Sundays during the year.
A mixed event, ‘Natural Hazards’, is conducted between April and November. Visitors are welcome – 10.30 for 11.00am hit-off, $25 per pair includes afternoon tea. Green fee players are accommodated on these days but must give way to competitors. The remaining 2019 Natural Hazards events are:

Twilight golf from 4 November 2019 until early Autumn 2020. Register at clubhouse from 4.30pm for 12-hole event, $5 entry fee.

The Axedale Golf Club has an extreme heat policy. On days of forecast weather extremes, competition golf may be cancelled or hit-off will only be in the morning, with no competition in afternoon. Please see our Heat Policy for more details.
